Coming to theaters nationwide on December 15th, 2006, the Blood Diamond movie trailer (click the Blood Diamond pic in the box below) shows Leonardo DiCaprio in this action/drama film set in a world of South African Diamond smuggling. Jennifer Connelly and Djimon Hounsou also star in the film.

This Warner Bros. feature is set in the chaotic 1990s Sierra Leone. A rare pink Diamond is able to transform the lives of the two main actors. The problem is that troubled territory is between them and the Diamond. The two must make a dangerous quest to retrieve it. This drama looks to be very intense and emotional as anyone that knows what the role of diamonds play in that part of the world can attest to in times of conflict. A blood Diamond, or conflict Diamond, is a Diamond mined in a conflict or war zone, and usually used to finance military efforts.

Leonardo DiCaprio has also starred in Titanic, Kings of New York, Catch Me if You Can, and as Billy Costigan in The Departed.

The boys from Tenacious D, Jack Black and Kyle Gass are set to hit the box office Novemember 22, 2006, in the film Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny. It’s their quest to become the greatest rock and roll band of all time.

You’ll also find a few tenacious D songs, and a video or two. There’s even a sneak preview of Sasquatch in the Tenacious D trailer. What I want to know is when are these guys going to go on tour? Their music is great.

Meatloaf plays the role of a father who believes rock-and-roll is Satan’s work. J.B. played by Jack Black wants to prove his father wrong. His guardian angel, Ronnie James Dio, influences him to take a new life in California where he meets K. G. played by Kyle Gass. They go on a quest to find the pick of destiny which will make them the greatest band in the world.

The legend of the guitar picked of destiny is explained thoroughly at their website. That tenacious D guitar tab has a wonder of powers for the duo. I’m sure this movie is going to be a funny comedy/musical in true tenacious D spirit if the movie trailer is any indication.
