The boys from Tenacious D, Jack Black and Kyle Gass are set to hit the box office Novemember 22, 2006, in the film Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny. It’s their quest to become the greatest rock and roll band of all time.

You’ll also find a few tenacious D songs, and a video or two. There’s even a sneak preview of Sasquatch in the Tenacious D trailer. What I want to know is when are these guys going to go on tour? Their music is great.

Meatloaf plays the role of a father who believes rock-and-roll is Satan’s work. J.B. played by Jack Black wants to prove his father wrong. His guardian angel, Ronnie James Dio, influences him to take a new life in California where he meets K. G. played by Kyle Gass. They go on a quest to find the pick of destiny which will make them the greatest band in the world.

The legend of the guitar picked of destiny is explained thoroughly at their website. That tenacious D guitar tab has a wonder of powers for the duo. I’m sure this movie is going to be a funny comedy/musical in true tenacious D spirit if the movie trailer is any indication.
