The Pursuit of Happyness Movie Review and Trailer

the-pursuit-of-happyness-movie-review.jpegYou know those true stories are always good. The Pursuit of Happyness is no exception. An adaptation of one man’s pursuit from rags to riches, Will Smith does a fantastic job in the lead role. I was never a huge fan of him on television, but his recent acting in the movies Hitch, and I, Robot has been entertaining.

Down on his luck, and not able to pay his bills, Chris Gardner, played by Smith, is a struggling salesman. Fatherless during his childhood, Gardner would not have the same for his son. He needed to find something better. An internship as a stockbroker at a top financial institution became his chance.

Jaden Smith, the real-life son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith acts in the role of Gardner’s son. There’s obvious chemistry between the two, which adds that sense of realism to the movie.

Here’s a clip of The Pursuit of Happyness movie trailer.

A lady sitting by me was crying at the end of the movie. It’s one of those feel-good, you can accomplish what you set out to achieve, type of flicks. I’d recommend The Pursuit of Happyness.

For you Will Smith fans, you’ll be able to catch him again in three upcoming movies scheduled for release in 2007 -2008. I Am Legend, Tonight, He Comes, and Time Share.
