Will Smith plays an uncharacteristic superhero, that is a drunkard and a bum. He meets Ray Embrey, a PR guy that decides to guide this not so ideal superhero. Critics gave this summer blockbuster an average C rating for a plot that had a twist some liked, and some did not. If you enjoy digital effects, Hancock is full of them.
You’ve got to give props for a story that hasn’t been done before.
Don’t expect much in the way of enthralling conversation. There are enough jokes between the plot lines, and action sequences to keep you awake, but the movie is mostly a visual bonanza of action.
For all it’s hype, I was expecting better.
