Chris Rock and Martin Lawrence star in this hilarious remake of Frank Oz’s 2007 Death at a Funeral.

Also starring Tracy Morgan, Danny Glover and Regina Hall, this comedy turns upside down, when a family funeral goes wrong.

I had a chance to view one of the five movies nominated for an Oscar in the Best Picture category for 2007, “Little Miss Sunshine”.

The cast is an ensemble starring Toni Collette, Abigail Breslin, Alan Arkin, Paul Dano, Steve Carell and Greg Kinnear.

Watching the antics of this dysfunctional family was amusing. Their quest to get Olive to the Little Miss Sunshine beauty pageant in a broken down VW van was not without it’s mishaps.

The ending scenes will bring a tear to your eye, and place laughter in your heart. I rather doubt Little Miss Sunshine will bring home the Oscar, but if you enjoy the quirky movies Fox Searchlight Pictures puts out, you’ll probably enjoy this.
