Nominated for like 12 Oscar’s,The Kings Speech was one of the best movies for 2010.

How would you like to be king of a country, and have a stutter when you speak?

This was the case with George VI, who became king of England in 1936 when his brother Edward abdicated. King George VI, who is also known as Bertie was known to stutter ever since he was an adolescent. The problem now though was that with the invention of radio, he would have to give a speech to thousands of people throughout England. Everyone would know that he has a stutter, and with royal blood running through his veins, it wouldn’t look so great.

King George VI try going to many different speech therapists until he found one that was a guy who tried some radical approaches to speech therapy.

Colin Firth was excellent as King George VI, and Geoffrey Rush was also top-notch in his role as Lionel Logue, the speech therapist.

Other actors in the movie include Helena Bonham Carter, Guy Pearce, and Timothy Spall.

True Grit has the components to be one of the best movies in 2010.  We’ll see if it can deliver.

A Coen brothers flick, this 2010 remake of the 1969 version, which starred John Wayne and Glen Campbell, is the same story of a young girl named Mattie Ross, who seeks out a lawman to help her track down the man who killed her father.

This version brings two Academy Award winners, Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon into the leading roles, as Marshal Reuben J. “Rooster” Cogburn, and LeBouef.

The True Grit Movie Trailer for 2010 looks like an epic win.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon are back in theaters on May 28, 2010 in the movie Sex and the City 2.

Also known as Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda, and Samantha, the foursome from the hot HBO series takes their friendships, love lives, and careers in New York City back to the big screen.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy on Blu-Ray is currently available for the theatrical editions.

Directed by Peter Jackson and starring Elijah Wood, Viggo Mortensen, Orlando Bloom, and Liv Tyler, the Lord of the Rings Blu-Ray extended editions release date will be in 2011 or 2012.

Releasing in January of 2010, this flick is set in the years of Russian author Leo Tolstoy’s life.

Tolstoy’s doctrine of poverty and chastity tears them apart as the deals with his enormous wealth, 13 children, and a life of hedonism.

Tolstoy makes an unexpected trip from his home, and becomes too sick to carry on. Believing that he’ll buy alone, he doesn’t realize that newspaper men are camping outside of the railway station at Astapovo, to report on his condition.

Robert Pattinson from the movie’s New Moon and Twilight, stars along with Emilie De Ravin in Remember Me.

This romantic drama releases in March of 2010.

The story centers around two lovers whose relationship is tested as both of them try to cope with individual family tragedies.

The Twilight Saga continues with this second edition, New Moon; starring Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.

Soon after Bella Swan’s 18th birthday Edward Cullen and his family leave the town of Forks Washington.

Bella is distraught and alone during her senior year without Edward’s presence. Yet his images keep coming back to her whenever she puts her self in some kind of danger. Her desire to be with him leads her to take on more jeopardizing risks.

In the end, Bello learns the secret behind Edwards true reason for leaving her and must face a reunion that is not what she’s expected.

Quentin Tarantino’s latest film was unveiled today with the release of it’s first movie trailer. Starring Brad Pitt as a Nazi-killing commander, Inglorious Basterds will open in theatres on August 21, 2009.

“In German-occupied France, Shosanna Dreyfus witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa. Shosanna narrowly escapes and flees to Paris, where she forges a new identity as the owner and operator of a cinema. Elsewhere in Europe, Lieutenant Aldo Raine organizes a group of Jewish soldiers to engage in targeted acts of retribution. Known to their enemy as “The Basterds,” Raine’s squad joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark on a mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reich. This should be quite the visual foray for fans of blood and glory if Tarantinio lives up to his reputation.

Set in the dark and painfully ordinary New York of the 1970′s, director Ridley Scott portrays the life of drug kingpin, Frank Lucas. Played byDenzel Washington, Lucas offers that same sense of protagonism seen in characters like Pacino’s Scarface.

Another Academy Award winning actor, Russell Crowe, plays the part of Richie Roberts, the lawman who finally brought “real life” Lucas to justice. The two men then end up working together to expose international heroin trade, and dirty officials.
