The Academy award winning film, Crash was a 1995 hit. Starring an A-list ensemble of actors, Sandra Bullock, Don Cheadle, Matt Dillon, Jennifer Esposito, and William Fichtner, Crash is poignant, riveting, and intense.
The director, Paul Haggis describes this movie as a “passion piece”. That’s very apparent, the way every character is crafted. I cared about every character and they were all “human”. Sure, far from perfect, but trying, each in his own peculiar way, to do what’s right.
It would be simple to say that this movie is about racism. It’s not. It’s true message seemed to be that racism is just an excuse, a way of finding differences amongst ourselves where no differences really exist.
