Nominated for like 12 Oscar’s,The Kings Speech was one of the best movies for 2010.

How would you like to be king of a country, and have a stutter when you speak?

This was the case with George VI, who became king of England in 1936 when his brother Edward abdicated. King George VI, who is also known as Bertie was known to stutter ever since he was an adolescent. The problem now though was that with the invention of radio, he would have to give a speech to thousands of people throughout England. Everyone would know that he has a stutter, and with royal blood running through his veins, it wouldn’t look so great.

King George VI try going to many different speech therapists until he found one that was a guy who tried some radical approaches to speech therapy.

Colin Firth was excellent as King George VI, and Geoffrey Rush was also top-notch in his role as Lionel Logue, the speech therapist.

Other actors in the movie include Helena Bonham Carter, Guy Pearce, and Timothy Spall.

Comic book movies are all the rage anymore, and the Green Hornet is no exception.

This movie stars Seth Rogen, Cameron Diaz, and Christoph Waltz.

Rich playboy Britt Reid joins up with Kato to fight crime as masked heroes.

The Green Hornet hit theaters January 14, 2011. This movie was filmed in 3-D, and was pretty awesome. If your sucker for action movies, this flick is full of plenty of that.

I must say though that with a movie that have a budget of $120-$150000000, it was not as good as it could’ve been.

Some people say that Seth Rogen should not have play the part of the Green Hornet. They say he’s too lame.

Anyway, this duo gets together and with Kato’s ingenuity and skill, they build an indestructible car, with enough horsepower to mow down any other vehicle on the road. This puppy is a moving fortress of defense. There’s some other cool gadgets in the movie, and these two guys get into a lot of action in the Los Angeles underworld.

Anthony Hopkins is out in a new movie called The Rite. This film is rated PG for disturbing violence and images. It’s about an American seminary student who goes to a exorcism school at the Vatican in Italy. You can guess what’s next. Demonic forces and exorcisms are the name of the game.

This is a Warner Bros. movie and other actors starring Colin O’Donoghue, Alice Braga, Ciaran Hinds, and Toby Jones.

Roger Ebert gave this movie a b. He said that it took exorcisms more seriously than he expected it to.

The Rite is based on actual experiences of a Catholic priest named Father Gary Thomas. It’s interesting with watching this movie, because you can tell that these people are obviously possessed. It’s unclear however if Satan is actually involved in the whole thing.

True Grit has the components to be one of the best movies in 2010.  We’ll see if it can deliver.

A Coen brothers flick, this 2010 remake of the 1969 version, which starred John Wayne and Glen Campbell, is the same story of a young girl named Mattie Ross, who seeks out a lawman to help her track down the man who killed her father.

This version brings two Academy Award winners, Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon into the leading roles, as Marshal Reuben J. “Rooster” Cogburn, and LeBouef.

The True Grit Movie Trailer for 2010 looks like an epic win.

Johnny Knoxville and the Jackass crew are coming back to the big screen on October 15, 2010, with more wild and crazy stunts.

This time however, they’re doing it in 3D!

Marvel at the awesome driving techniques, as Johnny jumps his jet ski.

Directed by Jeff Tremaine, this Jackass sequel is bound to be as action-packed as the MTV series was.

It’s been 28 years since Jeff Bridges starred in the futuristic movie TRON.  Now he’s back in the 2010 remake, TRON Legacy.

In this action-adventure flick, Sam Flynn (played by Garrett Hedlund) becomes transported into the electronic game world that his father (Bridges) disappeared into 25 years ago.

This new TRON 2 sequel is set to release on December 17, 2010 by Walt Disney Studios.

Technology has changed quite a bit in the past two decades, and the sequel is sure to provide the stunning visual effects to show that.

Last Sunday, I went to see Ridley Scott’s version of the classic tale of Robin Hood.

The movie started out with plenty of promise, but fell short of my expectations.

This story begins with an exploration of Robin Longstride’s origin. It moves into Robin’s homecoming from the holy wars, and the plight that awaits him back in Nottingham.

The action was typical of a 237 million-dollar blockbuster, and Friar Tuck’s fascination for making mead reminded me of days gone by when I brewed up a batch in advanced biology. We didn’t get to drink it then because I was in high school.

There were too many characters, and introductions along the way. It kind of became a mess.

Russell Crowe played a gladiator type of character. While I always like him, I wonder if this would’ve been better with someone younger.

I would give Robin Hood three out of four stars.

Also known as Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda, and Samantha, the foursome from the hot HBO series takes their friendships, love lives, and careers in New York City back to the big screen.
